RARE: Man Tou Xian Bowls or "Cardinal Hat Dishes" raised center section to place bun or bread at center and with soup surrounding.

Blue in White Chinese export later part of 18th century. Design suggests for the dutch market with foliate rims. 

Largest (right) measures approx. 12 inches in diameter, plate on left measures approx. 11 3/4 inches. Approx. 2 inches in height. These are thickly potted.

Provenance: Purchased as stated from Freeman's auction house in Philadelphia, PA

Condition: Very good, no damage, no hairlines and no repairs. Fritting to rims as is common with these wares.
